If there was ever a song from the heart, it has always been “I Honestly Love You,” the first #1 hit for Olivia Newton-John in 1974. Co-written by Peter Allen and Jeff Barry, the delicate soft-rock classic gets a heartfelt performance in a new duet version.

CMA Nashville recording artist Joey Sontz and award-winning international vocalist and recording artist Cosimo Lizzi have released a tribute to Olivia Newton-John, “I Honestly Love You.” The recording benefits The Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre. The song is available on all digital musical platforms.

Solo artists Joey Sontz (“I Melt” European Country Chart Top 20) and Cosimo Lizzi (“Perdere L’Amore” from his well-received Debut Album “Amore del Passato”) are even more captivating as a duo. The track is delivered with a purity of expression while also achieving an almost overwhelming honesty that ultimately amplifies the emotion of the song.

The tribute is a love letter to Olivia and her legacy with all proceeds going to The Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre in Melbourne, Australia. The Digital Single has an award-winning musical team behind it. The song was produced in London, U.K. by Award-Winning Record Producer Philip Larsen whose credits include the Grammy winning “Come into My World” by Kylie Minogue as well as working with Katy Perry among many others. He adds his own personal touch of “Xanadu” to the mix and transports the listener to an ethereal place. The track was completed at World-Famous Metropolis Studios in London by award-winning engineer Tony Cousins whose credits even include Adele.  In addition, several famous well-known musicians lend their musical hand by adding their magic touch including: Grammy-Nominee Robin A. Smith (Andre Bocelli’s Arranger and Pianist) on Piano and Strings, Chuck Sabo on Drums (Elton John’s “The Lion King”, Cher, Tina Turner and many more) and Tim Lefebvre (Sting, David Bowie, Elvis Costello among others) on Bass Guitar. Joey & Cosimo both feel a very personal musical connection to Olivia and all her songs that have touched the hearts of the world. It is their wish to help continue the legacy that Olivia Newton-John started in their own special way.
