precondition, the recently released album from jazz guitarist Vincenzo Virgillito, is the most thought-provoking film soundtrack I’ve hear in a long time. Oh, sure, the film for it hasn’t been made yet, but all of the drama, tension, release, and emotion is there, believe me.
Produced by Vincenzo Virgillito and Roberto Filoseta, precondition is a journey that will keep you engaged well beyond the album’s running time. It’s as if Mr. Virgillito views the disc as an artistic palette, ready for one surprise after another. In doing so, he enlargens (and meets) expectations. Vincenzo Virgillito’s layers of sound ultimately reflect the depth of human relationships.
Musician: Vincenzo Virgillito (double bass, electric bass, fretless 5 and 4 string, analog pedals).
