With crying slide guitar, soulful vocals, virtuosic piano, emotionally charged lyrics, and a hard-driving rhythm section, the album takes listeners on a musical journey straight to Chicago. Known for his emotive slide guitar, heartfelt singing, and energetic stage shows, Hillesheim’s composing talent is showcased here. He wrote eight of the ten tracks, with two covers (one by Israel Tolbert, the other by Melvin R. London).
