The singles draw was announced today at the River Oaks Country Club in Houston, home of the 2016 Fayez Sarofim & Co. U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship.
Among the top seeds at the only ATP event in the U.S. that takes place on red clay, will be defending champion Jack Sock (USA), John Isner (USA), Benoit Paire (FRA) and Steve Johnson (USA). Adding to the excitement is a healthy contingent of young Americans who received wild cards.
Four more players will join the main draw through this weekend’s qualifying tournament. American Bjorn Fratangelo, the 2011 French Open junior champion, is the top seeded player in the two-round qualifying event.
