
Defending Champion, Jack Sock.
Two past champions, Jack Sock (2015) and Juan Monaco (2012), will meet in Sunday’s title match at the 2016 Fayez Sarofim & Co. U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship. This is just the fifth time in the Open Era that two past champions are meeting in the final.
Fourth-seeded defending champion Jack Sock beat top-seeded John Isner 7-6 (4), 6-3 on Saturday in an all-American semifinal in the U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship. Sock is the first player to reach back-to-back finals at this event since Andy Roddick reached four straight finals (2001-04). Sock (who has won eight straight matches in the tournament) is bidding to be the first player to win consecutive titles at this event since Andy Roddick (in 2001-02). Sock is appearing in his fourth career ATP final and second this season.
