Dailey & Vincent — Patriots and Poets

Award-winning bluegrass artists Dailey & Vincent (Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent) have released their new album, Patriots and Poets. It ignites with the energetic “Gimme All the Love You Got,” and drives forward through another fifteen songs with impeccable musicianship and harmonizing, landing at the equally stirring “America We Love You.” More than just a Fourth of July gimmick, the album really is a folio of tunes that celebrate the national spirit currently in the process of renewal, and Dailey & Vincent perform with pride and purpose. The duo, who was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry last month, are joined on the album of bluegrass, traditional country and gospel music by guest performers including Béla Fleck, Doyle Lawson, Dave Rawlings, and Taranda Greene. One of the definite highlights is “California,” which features a vocal and banjo appearance by bluegrass enthusiast and actor Steve Martin. Dailey & Vincent are as good as it gets in contemporary bluegrass and they continue to soar.
