Award-Winning International Vocalist & Recording Artist Cosimo Lizzi Releases EP “Volare”

Cosimo Lizzi, the award-winning international vocalist and recording artist known for his well-received debut album Amore del Passato, has released his latest EP, Volare. The four-track EP was released on February 1, 2024—a date that paid homage to the release of the original, classic, Grammy-wining single (by Italian singer/songwriter Domenico Modugno). Even though it’s been sixty-years, the song still stands as a stylish classic.

Lizzi treats the song with great respect, and offers a couple of exciting, new takes on the original. The title track and lead-off Single “Volare”(Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu) is a rousing Euro-Dance transformation. The single (that was produced in Italy) takes the listener to the dance floors of Italy and beyond with its infectious beat and slick production. Particularly effective is the way Lizzi transitions from a straight ballad version into a whirlwind version that will convince you it’s time to get on a Vespa headed toward a yacht… and bring some speakers too, for this rendition is the ultimate escape.

Also included on the New EP is Cosimo’s hypnotic and outer-worldly take on John Lennon’s classic “Imagine,” featuring Hong Kong producer Perry Martin on guitar. The bonus track is evidence that the song, and the message included in the song, are timeless. Bravo, Cosimo!
