It showcases Knipp’s acclaimed songwriting, powerful vocals, and dynamic band in their natural element: on stage. The album includes 13 original songs of incredible variety, plus Knipp’s distinctive takes on Bruce Springsteen’s “State Trooper,” Justin Townes Earle’s “If I Was the Devil,” and Blind Willie Johnson’s traditional blues song “John the Revelator.”

Katie Knipp (vocals, piano, guitar, harmonica) and her band—Pancho Tomaselli (bass), Steve Utstein (Hammond B3, Wurlitzer), Neil Campisano (drums), and Quinn Hedges (lead guitar)—will mark the release with a show at The Torch Club in Sacramento on Oct. 3 at 9 p.m.
