New Blues: Paul Reddick — ‘Ride The One’

Paul Reddick — Ride The One

Label: Stony Plain Records

Canadian blues musician who got his start playing the harmonica at the age of 12. He’s all grown up now and has added vocals and a whole lot of charisma to his list of talents. His latest album, Ride The One, is a gritty, poetic trip full of deep rhythms, intense singing and mesmerizing harp playing.

Joining Reddick on the album are Colin Cripps (producer and guitarist), Greg Cockerill (guitar),  Anna Ruddick (bass) and Derek Downham (drums). They deserve credit for keepig the blues tradition (and blues progression) alive and well north of the border. Ride The One  is a collection of eleven new tracks that will satisfy the cravings of any blues harp fan willing to take the ride.

Essential Downloads: “Gotta Find A…,” “Diamonds,” “Moon and Star.”
