New Bluegrass: Rhonda Vincent — ‘All The Rage – Volume One’

Rhonda Vincent — All The Rage – Volume One

The latest release from Rhonda Vincent, also known as “The New Queen of Bluegrass,” is a live concert album with her award-winning bluegrass band the Rage. It features 14 songs (loads of fan favorites and a couple of classic hymns), filmed LIVE at Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee during a 60-minute concert setting.

I could feast on Rhonda Vincent’s warm, clear tones  until forever, at least… and the band has never sounded better. Give a listen to Vincent’s generous vocals on “Muleskinner Blues” and you will feel as if you have been transported to the bluegrass festival of your dreams. Actually, her vocals are so huge on this track that she turns bluegrass into moments of pop anthem. She is a powerhouse performer, period. The entire project captures just enough of the “live” element to convey the energy and enthusiasm in the room, while still maintaining high enough production qulaity to sound like recording studio perfection.

Essential Downloads: “Muleskinner Blues,” “Is The Grass Any Bluer,” “The Old Rugged Cross.”
