Ben Racine Band — Live à Montréal

The Ben Racine Band is been one of Montreal’s most critically acclaimed blues acts. Racine brings strong vocals to a stellar musician group (including a tight rhythm section, a sizzling horn section and a show-stopping telecaster guitar). They won the 2017 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, where Ben won the Albert King Award for his guitar work.

Throughout their latest CD, Live à Montréal, there are reminders of the golden age of R&B, but with mostly original songs. The release coincides with the band’s tenth anniversary, and it is indeed a celebration. One of the highlights of the album is “One of a Kind,” a song that captures the energy and spontaneity of the band’s live performance. Then there is “No Smoke Without Fire,” a track that extends the already vast artistic territory being covered…
