Nothing, apparently, can diminish her generous spirit, nor convince her to sing strictly desperate blues. She delivers blues with the explosive surprises of a July 4th evening on the Potomac. Just when think you are satisfied — boom — it gets even better.

The album’s eight tracks showcase just about every approach to the blues that you could ever hope to hear. Especially since she makes each one spectacularly authentic and, therefore, necessary. The entire listening experience culminates beautifully in “Change Is Coming,” an original tune that sends the listener forward with faith in hope.

The stellar musicianship surrounding Sass Jordan’s determined vocals are Chris Caddell (guitar), Jimmy Reid (guitar), Cassius Pereira (drums), Jesse O’Brien (keyboards), and most notably, Steve Marriner (bass and harmonica).
