Clay DuBose’s Father Time & Mother Nature is a West Coast country-rock album that pairs high-energy tracks with more progressive, artful explorations. The entire album convey’s DuBose’s broad vocal range and sweet tone.

Produced by Ted Russell Kamp, who also adds his signature bass groove, it features Jamie Douglas and Mitch Marine on drums; Brian Whelan, Neal Casal, and Doug Pettibone on guitar; John Shreffler on mournful pedal steel; and Carl Byron and Sasha Smith on elegant Hammond organ. Noted blues singer Janiva Magness makes a special appearance on the title track. The record was recorded by Mark Rains at Station House Studio, mixed by Jim Scott with additional mixing by Rains, and mastered by Pete Lyman at Infrasonics in Nashville.

DuBose’s Texas roots come through strongly across the thoughtful album. The occasional pedal steel adds establishes a country feel that connects well with all of the impulses that bring “I Hope You’re Watching,” a song for his father, to life.
