No one revels in exploring the potential of the guitar these days quite as much as two-time British Blues Award-winner Laurence Jones. His new album, Take Me High, uses the instrument as a means of brilliant communication. What he seems to be saying, above all else, is “this is who I am and these are the kind of blues and rock that define me.” What more can one hope for in an artist?

The album, produced by Mike Vernon, features  Laurence on guitar, Phil Wilson on drums, Roger Innis on bass and Bob Fridzema on keys & organ. The disc places Laurence Jones firmly in line in a great tradition of British rock/blues legends. Luckily for us, this is his time and he is making the most of it.
