Jack Sock and Mike Bryan
Jack Sock is still hard at work at the All England Club. The American sensation is still winning matches (n men’s and mixed doubles) in the second week at Wimbledon. Sock, of course, is a Grand Slam champion and Olympic gold medalist in doubles, and is proving to be one of the greatest doubles players around.
Sock, who is a lifetime member of the All England Club since winning the men’s doubles title in 2014 with then partner Vasek Pospisil, has his eye on the same trophy this year, but with Mike Bryan. Incidentally, Bryan was one of the two opponents Sock and Pospisil defeated in the 2014 final. Mike Bryan’s usual partner, Bob Bryan, is still recuperating from a hip injury. The seventh-seed American pair is through to the quarter finals.
As for mixed doubles, Sock is partnered with America’s number one ranked female player, Sloane Stephens. This is only her fourth career mixed doubles event. But so far, so good. They are in the Round of 16 at this point.
Sock and both of his partners are strong contenders for titles in both fields.
